Please follow the next steps in order to retrieve
and process a document from the European Court of Human Rights.
Step 1
Please go to the HUDOC database (https://hudoc.echr.coe.int/)and search for judgments in English.
Step 2
Access to the jdugment you are interested in and copy its Document URL,that should look like "http://hudoc.echr.coe.int/eng?i=XXX-XXXXXX"
Step 3
Paste it in the search bar of this webpage and then clickthe search button or press enter.
Step 4
Once the website shows the text of your target judgment, click on "Events" in order to havethe events and relevant dates related annotated in the text. This step might take some time.
Step 5
When the annotations appear in the screen click on "Timeline"to see the timeline associated to the dated events in the text.
Step 6
You can click on each of the events in the timelinein order to go to their mention in the document.
